Now! Pashto Bible portions for Afghanistan

Pashto Bible portions are now available for Afghans to read.

After many years of work, closely supervised by the United Bible Societies, the first five books of the Pashto Bible are now available. Afghans in Afghanistan and other parts of the world can now own the Torah in the language spoken by most Afghans.

Twenty-five years ago the Pashto New Testament was published in Pakistani (Yusufzai) Pashto. However, Afghan (Nangarhari ) Pashto is significantly different, so the Pakistani edition was difficult for Afghans.

This is what Afghan believers say about this new translation:
"To be able to read the Word of God in my own mother tongue will be very special."

"When I read the Torah in my Pashto dialect, I feel it belongs to me and is for me. The new Holy Torah in Pashto is a great gift and tribute for me and my fellow countrymen."
